Twelve is a blend of single malt and grain whiskies blended and bottled at the Old Bushmills Distillery in Northern Ireland’s County Antrim. However, a U.S.-based spokesperson for the brand told Whisk圜ast in an email that McGregor had not “planned to call this brand Notorious for over a year,” saying that “he wanted it to be bigger than him and about his country.” The Irish Examiner reported last week that McGregor was forced to withdraw his trademark application for the name at the European Union Intellectual Property Office because “Notorious” had already been trademarked for use on alcoholic beverages in 2016 by Carlow Brewing Company founder Seamus O’Hara. When McGregor initially announced his plans to enter the whiskey business immediately following his loss in the ring to boxing champion Floyd Mayweather in August of 2017, he referred to it as “Notorious Irish Whiskey” in line with his “Notorious” nickname. Twelve’s annual sales to local first responders and charitable groups supporting first responders. The fighter plans to donate up to a million dollars of Proper No. I am the founder of this company and I am going to give it my all,” the statement quoted McGregor as saying. I respect other Irish whiskeys, but I am coming in strong, with passion and with purpose. “Growing up on the streets of Dublin 12, I learned the values of loyalty and hard work. It’s proper Irish whiskey and twelve is my hometown,” McGregor said in a news release announcing the whiskey’s release. It’s a place I’m still very much a part of every single day of my life. It’s where I learned how to fight it made me who I am today. The name comes from Dublin 12, the postal district in southwest Dublin that includes Crumlin, the neighborhood where McGregor grew up. and Ireland starting this month with plans for wider availability in 2019. Eire Born Spirits, McGregor’s own spirits company, is working with Bushmills head distiller David Elder and Proximo Spirits on the whiskey, which will be available at first in the U.S. Septem– More than a year after announcing his plans to launch his own Irish Whiskey brand during a post-fight news conference, mixed martial arts champion Conor McGregor has unveiled Proper No.

I expected it to be easy, at least for me, because I have spent so much time the past couple of weeks loading and configuring my first 2133. If you want more flexibility, if you want or need a more modern Linux installation (SLED 10 is rather long in the tooth.), or if you just don't like the SuSE Enterprise business model, the obvious thing to do is to put one of the other free Linux distributions on the Mini-Note. This is, in my opinion, a very nice "open the box and use it" Linux netbook. As I said last week when looking at SLED 11 on my other HP 2133, it is a good, solid Linux implementation this particular version is well suited to the HP Mini-Note, so it doesn't require a lot of effort to install and configure, and you don't have to do a lot of running around gathering bits and pieces from other places to make it all work. It includes most of the packages that you would expect with a good Linux desktop, such as Firefox (browser), Evolution (email and organizer), OpenOffice, F-Spot Photo Manager, Banshee (media player), and even Real Player 10. The SLED 10 installation looks quite nice. It uses the " wl" wireless driver for the Broadcom 4312 adapter, so it is able to see and connect to both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless networks. The lower screen resolution is noticeable, compared to my original Mini-Note, but it is not a significant disadvantage, and in fact a lot of people might consider this one easier to read. That is not the way I would have done the layout, but it certainly works. While it takes some time to familiarize yourself to the odd trackpad design with the buttons placed on opposite ends, we're pleased to report that the trackpad's sensitivity was excellent and we found that we could comfortably navigate with the trackpad without any problems. On the first boot, the Mini-Note went through a setup procedure for SuSE Linux, which ended up producing a disk layout with a 1 GB swap area on sda1, a 10 GB root partition on sda2, a 97 GB home partition on sda3, and a 1.8 GB recovery partition on sda4. In this multimedia department, the Mini-Note was a clear winner in its category and more so when compared to most other notebook speakers that we've previously tested. When we started testing the Mini-Note and got it to play both music and videos, we had a pleasant surprise with the volume output and clarity of the speakers, which was startlingly loud and clear without any distortion even at maximum volume. But it's not just the keyboard that's impressive. Squeezing an almost full-sized (92%) keyboard (that is well spaced and with excellent pitch) into the space limited by an 8.9-inch screen is something of an engineering feat, in our opinion. So it's no surprise the Mini-Note comes beautifully designed for its small form factor and quite frankly, we were amazed at both its compact design and size. We like to note (again) that the HP Mini-Note pictured here is not the final retail unit but it will look very similar as we've confirmed with HP that only very minor cosmetic updates would be present on the full retail edition. These days, most notebooks come with different colors and designs while allowing for some customization with skins. Gone are the days where notebooks were bulky and ugly and came in only one standard color, black. If there's one thing that HP is big on, it's definitely designing gorgeous notebooks for the masses. What else would explain Paradise Pizza in Utopia? Perhaps that trait comes down from their forbears. I can’t know this for certain and I would be glad to defer to anyone who has access to better historical records, but I’m posing that as a theory and a possible explanation. It would have been within their collective memory in 1884 when they learned that their first choice wasn’t available. I think it’s plausible that Utopia, Texas earned its name from the attempted socialist colonization that failed to ignite twenty years earlier. La Réunion collapsed right around the same time and interest waned. However this was a stillborn settlement and the commune never formed. Organizers even purchased 47,000 acres for that purpose. Another one of those communities was going to be located near present-day Utopia, Texas. The most well-known was probably Utopia, Ohio (aha!) near Cincinnati, which is essentially a ghost town today. The movement established other communes on the same basic set of socialist principals. Their name lives on in the Reunion District of downtown Dallas and in its landmark Reunion Tower ( map). A socialist utopian movement called La Réunion arrived in Texas in 1855 and they settled near present-day Dallas. That explains why it’s not Montana, but why Utopia? I don’t know precisely but I have a notion. That doesn’t answer the question, though. Does that make Montana better than Utopia? Waresville, meanwhile, largely disappeared over time although a few vestiges still remain. So the residents settled for Utopia instead. However, another town in Texas already claimed that name. Some of those Waresville settlers relocated about a mile north in the 1870’s and platted a new town. Texas had only recently joined the United States. Several sources point to an earlier name, Waresville, dating back to the 1850’s. The evolution is a bit clouded but I’ve tugged on a few threads and I’ve deciphered a plausible explanation. I can think of lots of places that would have lesser claims. Anyway, most people probably wouldn’t consider an isolated settlement on the outskirts of the Texas Hill Country as an embodiment of paradise ( map). I considered it a rather unusual definition of utopia. Utopia exists, or at least a town in Texas goes by that name. I like to learn the story behind the story. Something catches my eye and it pushes me towards the search engines to see if I can crack the code. It might be an inexplicable term, a palindrome, or simply a funny sounding phrase. Put simply, I enjoy counterintuitive geographic placenames. This quest seemed no different than any other I’ve pursued. Life is full of odd coincidences like that. I never guessed someone would publish a book during the same week focusing on the same place, but I’ll get to that later. This time curiosity led me to wonder if anyone had ever been bold enough to name a town Utopia. I don’t always understand how blog topics develop in my mind. In fact, no state has more bridges that are in “poor condition” and “functionally obsolete” than California. Bridges in San Diego and across the state are particularly problematic. US News & World Report surveys the conditions of roads, bridges, public transit, and commute time in all 50 states. California’s low grades are thanks, in part, to crumbling roads and bridges in heavily-populated urban areas like San Diego. The city of San Diego has acknowledged that its roads are dangerous. On average, about 12% of crashes in San Diego are alcohol-related. In 2021, there was a record number of DUI deaths in San Diego County. The total number of crashes for 2021 is not yet available, but we know that fatalities rose drastically over the past two years nationwide. That’s about a 1.6% decrease over the prior year. The most recent data from the California Office of Traffic Safety shows that, in 2019, there were 19,938 car accidents in San Diego County that resulted in injury or death. These issues must be addressed before San Diego roads can be safe. They also know that poor infrastructure contributes to a significant number of car accidents every year. San Diego lawmakers know that the city’s roads, bridges, and transit systems are deteriorating. Unfortunately, commuters spend up to 56 hours just sitting in traffic every year? Why? Accidents are incredibly common, and road conditions make it nearly impossible for traffic to flow smoothly. Drivers log more than 12 million miles a day on San Diego roads. It’s also one of the most congested cities in the nation. San Diego, CA is known for its beaches, incredible climate, and laid-back atmosphere. You don't need to call me master, you know. Four months before production, the former ice hockey player had Vikander focus on two workout and diet cycles: “building up” muscle for two months, then “cutting” for visual definition for two months. Mixed martial arts, rock climbing and archery were integrated into Vikander’s training, which also included up to seven days a week in the gym. “We got some pretty freakish results,” Lygdback admitted to the Hollywood Reporter.Īs the mastermind behind Vikander’s insane physical transformation, Lygdback, who also hails from Sweden, packed on 12 pounds of muscle to the actress in four months. To get in shape for the film series reboot, Vikander, who is classically trained in ballet, turned to trainer Magnus Lygdback to transformed her slender 5’5″ figure into a strong fighting machine. Taking over the role made famous by Angelina Jolie in 2001, the Swedish actress portrayed Lara Croft, an English archeologist who embarks on a perilous journey to her father’s last-known destination, hoping to solve the mystery of his disappearance. Alicia Vikander portrayed Lara Croft in the film Tomb Raider (2018) and its upcoming sequel, Tomb Raider 2. In 2018, Alicia Vikander kicked serious ass in the action adventure film Tomb Raider, which was based on the uber popular 2013 video game. The 2018 Tomb Raider stars Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft, and was met with mixed reviews that criticized its weak portrayal of the series’ titular archaeologist. Paladins exist, right? I haven't seen one in some time, probably because that is an expensive deck to build optimally (Finja, Burnbristle, Tarim at Legendary, along with Warleaders, Megasaurs, Vilefin at Epic). You got nine heros, and hundreds of cards, and you see the same five heros and same four themes again and again and again.Įvery game for me is just kill the weenies against Warrior, Hunter, Token Druids, and save the AoE clears for the Jades, and lose to Big Priests. That's a solid 70 to 75% of the decks, if not 90%+ once your ELO is decent. I could ust use Pirate Warrior or a decent Priest deck to advance, but the meta seems so stale, it's like no one is even trying anything new at this tier. I used Pirate Warrior to get to the Rank 15 plateau, and now I bounce against it as my ELO plummets until I am in the bottom of the barrel, and I run to 14.2 and then bounce back. It's like, what was all that for? Isn't playing The Lich King turn 8 better than playing this Quest in general? Hunter's Quest has an existential crisis. a cheap 8/8 and the ability to play more 1-drops. The gist is that you use Elemental synergies and Fire Flies to power the deck (and set the Quest off), but once you actually get the Quest, you get. I need one more recovery-I might move it to Wild and try Reno. SebastianBludd wrote: That Devolve was a backbreaker for me, and when I played my second Hallucinate to get Thing from Below, my other choices were Snowfury Giant (really?) and Lotus Agents. Also, Evolve is kind of the counter to Sherazin, since I can engage in the same behavior (performing wonky trades but then healing/improving my damage minions that made those trades by evolving them.) Rogue seems designed to not be capable of the long game, other than Mill, in the same way that Priest can't do aggro. But, as you say, you were also dumping your hand to make it work, which has been my concern with Rogue since the game started: Combo means card disadvantage, since you're often using twice the resources to get similar effects and have no sure draw ability other than the very expensive Sprint. I think most of the plays you made were perfectly fine and if I wasn't also involved in/able to play the long game, you probably would have worn me down. I only played Sherazin for a bit, so I don't really have a good grasp on the strategy, but I did focus on removing him a couple times, not because he was a huge threat, but because I know the focus of the deck is to keep returning the 5/3 to the board and that means that the player will often spend a fair amount of time figuring out how to do that, even if the plays involved may not be optimal. SebastianBludd wrote: That really slowed me down and after the second time Sherazin died I probably should have slowed down and played a tempo Auctioneer instead of rushing to resurrect Sherazin again, depleting my hand. I figured that I'd have a chance to use Avalanche to take out a totem or two since Shaman is always pulling totem/Flametongue shenanigans around Turns 3-5. Kalimos seemed way too slow (and no synergy, to boot), and I wasn't willing to bet on a future board state where I'd be able to use the totem to make one or two value trades to swing the board. SebastianBludd wrote: My other two choices were Flametongue Totem and Kalimos. Unruptured A1As also need microneurosurgical clipping even when they are small. The most common variations reported in the literature are agenesis of AICA or PICA, AICA originating from PICA, PICA originating from internal carotid artery, persistence of a primitive communicating vessel (presegmental artery) between anterior and posterior circulation, and PICA originating from posterior meningeal artery. Because of their small size and involvement of perforating arteries at their base, microneurosurgical clipping is the method of choice in treatment of ruptured A1As. Our data suggest that A1As rupture at smaller size than IAs in general. Aneurysms arising from A1 are usually small, with a fragile wall. Seventy percent of patients had at least 1 associated aneurysm. Non-visualization of left PCOM ( posterior communicating artery ), but normal appearing posterior cerebral artery and anterior circulation. Twelve (52%) patients presented with ruptured A1As with ICH in 3 (25%) and IVH in 2 (17%). Variations are common and the PICA syndrome for example, often presents with. There are multiple eponymous posterior stroke syndromes, often presenting incompletely 4. In the Kuopio Cerebral Aneurysm Database of 3005 patients with 4253 aneurysms, there were 23 patients carrying 23 A1As, forming 0.8% of all patients with aneurysm, 0.5% of all aneurysms, and 2% of all ACA aneurysms. However, the PICA originating from the ascending pharyngeal artery (APA) has been very rarely reported. Headache and neck pain is normally the result of full posterior inferior cerebellar artery territory infarcts and is likely secondary to the associated swelling and mass effect 3. These 2 centers have treated more than 10,000 patients with aneurysm since 1951. Objective: In the present study, we characterized the vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR) gain and properties of corrective saccades (CS) in patients with posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA) stroke and determined the best parameter to differentiate PICA stroke from benign peripheral vestibular neuritis (VN). This review, and the whole series on IAs, is mainly based on the personal microneurosurgical experience of the senior author (JH) in 2 Finnish centers (Helsinki and Kuopio), which serve without patient selection the catchment area in Southern and Eastern Finland. In this article, the authors review the practical anatomy, preoperative planning, and avoidance of complications in the microsurgical dissection and clipping of A1As. There are only few reports on microneurosurgical management of A1As. Aneurysms originating from the proximal segment of anterior cerebral artery (A1As) are rare, forming less than 1% of all IAs. At the mid to lower basilar segment, a homologous enlarging channel is the AICA.
